Perfidious Albion

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfidious_Albion

The majority of British subjects have just proved themselves to be economically ill informed.

I could be wrong, and I will wait with bated breath to be proven wrong.  If the politicians adroitly manage the changeover, by keeping London's position as an economic powerhouse in Europe, and the economy doesn't tank, then all will come out in the wash.

Meanwhile, all we can do is wait and see what happens.

  1. Maybe, but if the housing bubble bursts that will be the end of the tories and a credible party for a very long time.

I can see that we are heading for some very interesting times.

    1. I'd rather live in more boring times. This is far more exciting than I like.

  3. Don't worry.Boris is doing the paperwork. Oh, and we can always sell Hoover's to the Canadians or JCB's to the Kiwis. That should be more than enough to keep the economy afloat.

  4. Being an American citizen (It's not my fault! I was born here!) I really can't pass judgement on the situation. All I will say is that is my sincerest hope that the people of the United Kingdom do not come to regret this decision...

    1. Thank you. Me too. I have friends on both sides of the debate, and my feeling is that the road to hell is often paved with good intentions.
