It's incredibly rare to find a writer who returns to a series after a multi-year gap producing anything worthwhile: this is not an exception.<br />Integral Trees: meh. Where's the <i>fun</i> we had in Ringworld or even World of Ptavvs?<br />Footfall: Lucifer's Hammer did it better.<br /><br />On the other hand Tea with the Black Dragon is excellent (avoid the sequel, though). The Pride of Chanur is one of the few Cherryhs I enjoy. Hyperion is weird but interesting, but treat those four books as two pairs of books.RogerBWhttp://blog.firedrake.org/noreply@blogger.com
